Reiki healing can be represented as palm healing (hands-on-body healing), during which a practitioner places hands gently on or over a patient’s body to facilitate the patient’s method of healing. This can also be practiced distantly if the healee is not available.
The word Reiki is comprised of two Japanese words. ‘Rei’ that means ‘God’s knowledge or the ‘Higher Power’ and ‘Ki’ that means ‘life force energy’. We can also say that if somebody has low force energy, they will be more prone to induce sick or feel stressed and tense. When the Reiki healing starts the high life force energy will flow through from the practitioner’s hands into the client’s body, increasing positive energy.
“Reiki will do no damage — the worst factor it will do is nothing,”
In recent years, Reiki has been integrated into several health care departments as well as hospitals. Reiki healings are often treated as a complementary medical care for reducing anxiety.
